Sally O’Connor has enjoyed a lifetime
involvement with horses both in Eventing and Dressage. She
is currently an FEI judge in both disciplines, a USEF “I”
dressage judge, and an “R” judge. She evented extensively
in the 1960’s and 1970’s and is currently showing horses at
all levels in dressage. Sally is a prolific writer, having
written Practical Eventing and Common Sense
Dressage as well as numerous articles on both dressage
and combined training. Sally has served on the boards of
the Potomac Valley Dressage Association, the United States
Pony Club, and the USCTA as Vice President of Education, and
Sally has written the current Eventing Dressage Tests as
well as the new tests for 2010. Sally heads a USEA Task
Force to develop guidelines for cross-country design at
Beginner Novice through Preliminary to bring the levels back
into proper relationship.
